BVS Cranes (Bülbüloğlu Vinç Sanayi) has been awarded the “Large Enterprise with the Most Improved Digital Transformation Capacity” prize in the Twin Transformation category within the scope of the 62nd Anniversary Awards of the Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO).

The award was presented to Berker Bülbüloğlu, Vice Chairman of the Board of Bülbüloğlu Holding, at the ceremony hosted by ASO Chairman Seyit Ardıç, with the participation of Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz, TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, and ASO Assembly Chairman Celal Koloğlu.

Commenting on the award, Berker Bülbüloğlu emphasized that digital transformation is not a choice for the company, but a long-term institutional necessity.

Underlining that they do not view digitalization merely as a technology investment, Bülbüloğlu stated:
“We see it as a strategic journey that simultaneously transforms human capital, engineering, production, and our way of doing business. This award from ASO is a strong confirmation that we are moving in the right direction.”

Bülbüloğlu noted that R&D, qualified human resources, and data-driven decision-making lie at the heart of the company’s digital transformation vision. He added that the R&D organization, employing more than 50 engineers, consists largely of specialists holding master’s and doctoral degrees.

“R&D investments are increasing steadily”

Stating that both financial resources allocated to R&D and the scale of technological investments have been steadily increased in recent years, Berker Bülbüloğlu said:
“In this context, the new R&D Center building, which reached an area of 675 m² and was commissioned last year, along with our consistently rising position in national R&D expenditure rankings, are tangible outcomes of BVS’s commitment to R&D and its sustainable investment approach in this field.”

He also pointed out that their ability to develop numerous patents and utility models, while running multiple innovation projects in parallel, constitutes one of the key foundations of BVS’s global competitiveness.

“Potential failures are predicted before they occur”

Berker Bülbüloğlu stated that BVS Cranes carries out projects in collaboration with TÜBİTAK, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, universities, and domestic and international partners, focusing on smart crane systems, digital monitoring solutions, and particularly AI-based predictive maintenance applications.

“Thanks to these projects, equipment health is monitored in real time, while potential failures are predicted before they occur, significantly increasing operational continuity and efficiency,” he said.

Bülbüloğlu also emphasized that this transformation is not limited to technical teams alone, adding:
“The continuous training and technology knowledge-sharing activities conducted under the BVS Academy play a critical role in spreading digital transformation across the entire organization.”

“Technology becomes sustainable only when developed together with human capital”

Stressing that technology can only be made sustainable when developed alongside human capital, Bülbüloğlu stated:
“BVS Academy is one of the most important structures we have established with this understanding.”

He further noted that BVS Cranes is simultaneously continuing the development and adaptation of a next-generation ERP system to make its corporate processes more integrated and transparent.
“With this system, we aim to manage production, supply chain, quality, finance, and after-sales processes through a single digital backbone,” he said.

Concluding his remarks, Berker Bülbüloğlu stated that digitalization, artificial intelligence, R&D, and a culture of continuous learning form not only BVS’s roadmap for today, but also for the coming decades, adding that the award is the result of the collective effort and shared vision of all teams.
